Provincial Honorary Member

Every past Provincial president and every member of the Board of Examiners, while in office, is a Provincial Honorary member of the association.

Every member who has been an Active Member for 50 years or more is an Honorary Life Member.

Any person (member or non-member) may be appointed a Provincial Honorary Member in recognition of outstanding service to the music teaching profession on the recommendation of Council to the Annual Meeting and by resolution thereat.

A non-member who receives the appointment of Provincial Honorary Member is entitled to use the designation “Honorary Member ORMTA”. Appointed and other Provincial Honorary Members receive NOTES, but are not required to pay Provincial Association fees, Branch fees, or CFMTA fees. Provincial Honorary Members pay insurance if they accept coverage. All Provincial Honorary Members are each entitled to one vote. A Provincial Honorary Membership continues from year-to-year unless the member resigns or the member is expelled as hereinafter provided.
