Branch Highlights and Events:


November 22, 2014 was our annual Awards Ceremony and Concert for 2014.  Students of our branch who achieved high marks were awarded certificates, with the highest honours receiving a trophy.  We also honoured Marianne Boettger, who is a founding member of our branch, and was celebrating a significant birthday.

             

Saturday, February 21st, at 2:00 pm
Again this year, we will be featuring our branch's teachers and friends, in our annual Wellspring Concert,   It is held at North Bramalea United Church on Howden Blvd. in Brampton.  This concert is a benefit for Wellspring Cancer Centre in Brampton, who care for the non-medical needs of those living with cancer.  Admission is by donation to Wellspring.  All are welcome to come and help support this worthy cause, as well as enjoy some great music.

Saturday, May 2, 2015:
Our annual Bolton-Brampton-Caledon Branch Music Festival will be held. We expect another full day, with 4 adjudication sites, all running from 9 am to 5:30 pm.  All member teachers from this branch are encouraged to have their students participate.  For more information, please contact Jen Smele, at jennifersmele@gmail.com.

e are pleased to be providing a provincially sponsored workshop for your continued professional development.  The workshop is entitled, 'Unlock the Keys toTeaching the New Children', and will be presented by Derek Oger, from Thunder Bay.  Derek has recently taken on a new position at Conservatory Canada, as Executive Director, and will also be sharing some ideas for the future of this organization.  The workshop will be held at Grace United Church, on Main St. N. in Brampton.  Light refreshments will be served.  The cost for ORMTA members is $15.00, and for non-members, $20.00.  Please contact Evelyn Nojd for more information, at evmusca@msn.com.  We look forward to seeing you there!
