2009 ORMTA Music Writing Competition Results

Congratulations to the following talented students, including the first place winners who will now represent ORMTA in the 2009 CMW Music Writing Competition at the National level (CFMTA).

This year’s CMW Music Writing Competition was a huge success! Teachers from Sault St. Marie to Ottawa to Kitchener and all points in between submitted students. With close to fifty entries in seven different classes, the popularity of this competition in music creativity continues to grow. The ORMTA would like to thank Maria Case for her insightful and thorough adjudications and Eleanor Marzetti for her gracious donation for student scholarships. Thanks also go out to the teachers for submitting the work of their students. And most importantly, congratulations to all the budding “Nancy Telfers” and “Stephen Chatmans” for pouring their creative juices into their submissions.
