Happy New Year!

2023 was another great year for ORMTA and included a few new positive changes: new faces on Provincial Council, new member perks (Perkopolis and GoodLife Fitness), a new look to Notes magazine, and a different location for our AGM and competitions.

We hope this year brings many exciting and wonderful things for our members and organization! Happy New Year!

Council Members Needed

We need you! This coming July, there may be a number of Councillors completing their terms on Provincial Council. Our Council members are an integral part of keeping the association and its programs running successfully. The insight from various creative minds always brings amazing new ideas and keeps ORMTA moving forward to serve our members and their students.

If you've ever thought about joining Provincial Council, read through this page to learn more and keep checking back, as available positions will be updated soon.

CFMTA Updates

CFMTA's Virtual Professional Development, Connecting Canada 2024, is taking place on July 5th and 6th. Live and pre-recorded sessions will present ways to build a strong musical foundation to develop students' skills and understanding. If you would like to present a 30, 45 or 60 minute workshop, proposals are being accepted until February 15th. Click here for more info.

Congratulations again to Antonina Vranic (student of ORMTA Member Mary Jeanne Peters) who has won the CFMTA Canada Music Week Poster Competitions for the 2nd year in a row! Take a look at her wonderful design and the other fantastic entries here.
