This summer we welcomed three new councillors to our team but we are still in need of someone to manage our Canada Music Week portfolio. In this role, a councillor would prepare a social media campaign, organize submitted CMW reports, contact provincial leaders and share ideas with members for celebrating. Members are welcome to join as a Zone Rep (for Zones that currently do not have a representative) or as a Member-at-Large from any Zone.

Our ORMTA Provincial Young Artist Competition winner for 2024 is Adam Zheng. Adam will be going on a tour of Ontario before representing the province at the CFMTA National Piano Competition in 2025. If your branch would like to host a stop on the tour, please contact our Young Artist Tour Convenor, Gloria-Jean Nagy by September 30th. This year, the portion of ticket sales and any fees normally sent to CFMTA, will be waived.

Our website host, ClubExpress, will soon be changing how ORMTA can process credit card payments online. Next month, PayPal will no longer be available and credit card payments will be processed directly through the website. We will continue to accept e-transfers and cheques and Google Pay and Apple Pay may also become available. More details will be shared as we move closer to adopting this new process. 

 

If your membership is currently expired, you can still renew through the website via PayPal, e-transfer, or cheque. Take a look at this video tutorial for help with membership renewal.

A reminder that if your Branch uses the ORMTA website, rather than an external website builder, please be sure to update your Executive listing for 2024-2025. Website Admins will be able to access Branch pages and make the necessary changes, or you can email communications@ormta.org with requests. All branches should also be using Branch Of logos and icons on any branch websites or social media pages. These logos can be found in the ORMTA Logos folder of the Member Documents.
