I have been teaching piano and theory lessons since 1995! My favourite part of being an educator is the variety of a private studio with students of all ages and performance levels. I teach all levels from beginner to advanced piano!
My teaching style is classically based, using the RCM curriculum with supplemental music in many other genres and styles for solo playing and ensemble performance. I really enjoy teaching the theory that helps students to understand their playing better, including all levels of rudiments, history & harmony - right up to the ARCT corequisite theories.

My September-June tuition fees are based on much more than just our weekly lesson - they include out-of-lesson time planning for your student, extra rehearsals for duet/ensemble pieces & performance classes, recital/competition/exam preparation, communication, providing print, audio & digital music resources, professional association memberships/insurance & my own ongoing commitment to professional development to be a better teacher for your student!
Lessons are offered online over Zoom (theory only), at my home studio in Stratford, and my KW studio near Ottawa & the Expressway in Kitchener.
Summer lessons are also available on a weekly, biweekly, or casual basis.
Private & Group theory lessons - depending on enrolment, so please invite your friends to take a theory class with you!
