Canada Music Week is coming up soon and some of you already have plans in the works. Please share your ideas on the ORMTA Facebook page or ORMTA Members Group, as this can inspire other branches to get their own creativity going. They could be large and involved or they could be ideas for individual studios to enjoy celebrating our Canadian composers and musicians. Posters, stickers and pencils themed for CMW are available on the CFMTA website, as well as details for the CMW Poster Competition. There are still a couple of weeks for students to prepare their artwork, with the deadline being November 15th.

 

Follow ORMTA on social media to catch video posts of some fine performances by Canadians of Canadian music throughout the month. Finally, our CMW Convenor, Rebecca Goode, looks forward to receiving Canada Music Week reports by December 1st. Please email reports to canadamusicweek@ormta.org.

 

 

Members can find approved ORMTA logos on our website in the Member Documents. For Branch promotional materials, there is a "Branch of ORMTA" logo and if you are promoting your own studio or studio's event, there is also a "Member of ORMTA" logo. We now also have a new "Branch of ORMTA" icon that is perfect for social media profile images.

 

Before using any logos, please read through Article XII of our ByLaws to ensure proper logo use.

A very big thank you to our members who renewed their ORMTA membership before the July 1st renewal date this year. In order to streamline our processes and better align with the start of our fiscal year, we are moving forward with a renewal deadline of June 30th beginning in 2024. Expiry dates in your ORMTA profile will be updated to reflect this and any members who have already requested an ORMTA membership card will receive an updated copy shortly.
