ORMTA Council is currently working on editing our Bylaws following our CRA Audit and to also become compliant with ONCA (Ontario Non-for-Profit Corporations Act). We have hired a lawyer to help with this process and will have a draft of new Bylaws in the next few months. Significant changes will be necessary and they will also affect other documents and operations, but we feel that these changes will move ORMTA forward and allow us to better serve our members. Before voting at our AGM next summer, we will hold virtual Town Halls to go over the changes, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox or the Notices page of the website.

 

The 2025 rules for our Provincial Instrumental, Vocal and Music Writing Competitions are now available on our website. The performance competitions will be held in Niagara Falls this coming summer and more details will be shared soon. New for MWC this year, applicants will also be able to submit audio or video recordings that will be shared on ORMTA's online platforms after winners have been announced.
